My wife and I just came home from a one week stay at Watson's Windy Point Lodge. It was a bucket list trip for us and we were beyond pleased. Our experience began at Watson's Skyways. They were very courteous and re-assuring (my wife was intimated about her first trip on a water plane). It was beautiful. Once we landed at the Lodge, the staff were very efficient in getting everyone settled. Our "couples cabin", the Hummingbird was perfect and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The queen sized bed was SO comfortable! Having the cabin situated directly on the lakefront was just beautiful. I fished off the shore within 15 minutes of arriving and caught a very impressive pike. The fishing for the entire week was beyond our expectations. We easily caught 50 - 60 fish every day! Lots of pickerel, pike and even whitefish! Truly incredible. We took advantage of the American Plan and couldn't be happier. The meals were absolutely delicious. We cannot compliment Stephanie enough for her culinary skills. The shore lunch kits were fantastic. Every detail of our stay was covered and then some by the great staff. Overall, we were thrilled with the entire experience. Thank you so very much Rob, Stephanie, and the staff. We couldn't ask for a better vacation.
I don’t know where to start. Our family of 5 and 2 dogs had the trip of a lifetime! We had no problem catching our limit of Walleye we went for. We did the American plan which included our breakfast, shore lunch kits for cooking at the numerous shore lunch locations on the lake, and dinner. All the meals were out of this world and way more than what we had expected. Steph was an amazing cook!!!The cabin was great especially with the cool nights and wood burning stove which they brought wood for each day. Our dogs were able to run and be free playing around camp with the other dogs. When we were just hanging out at camp the kids could explore or go fishing at the dock. It was great having power and water 24/7 which many resorts don’t. They were all so welcoming and friendly Rob, Steph, and the staff were amazing. Can’t wait to come back!!! However I think the dogs miss Birdie already.
